Terms and Conditions for Saving Tour
1. Introduction
Welcome to Saving Tour. By making a booking or reservation with us, you acknowledge
that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
Please read them carefully before confirming your booking.
2. Booking and Payment Options
-
Pay On Arrival & Deposit Policy:
For direct customers booking through our website using the “Pay on Arrival” option, reservations are considered conditional until secured. Saving Tour requires a mandatory 20% advance deposit to guarantee and fully confirm the reservation. -
Advance Payments & Payment Links:
Upon selecting “Pay on Arrival”, an official secure payment link (issued via DPO Group or another authorized payment gateway) will be sent to the customer for the 20% deposit. The remaining 80% balance is payable upon arrival in Zanzibar prior to the commencement of the tour or activity. -
Payment Link Timelines:
Deposit payment links must be completed within 24 to 48 hours (or before the specified cutoff time in your payment request message). Unpaid deposit requests reserve the right to be canceled to release inventory. -
Accepted Payment Methods:
- 20% Deposit: Online Credit/Debit Card (Visa, Mastercard, Mobile Money) via DPO Payment Link.
- 80% Remaining Balance: Payable on arrival via Cash (USD / TZS) or Credit/Debit Card via POS or portal.
-
Business-to-Business (B2B) Agents:
Travel agents, tour operators, and other B2B partners booking directly with Saving Tour must pay 100% of
the agreed booking amount in advance or per written partner agreement. Bookings will not be fully confirmed
until payment terms are satisfied. -
Referral Customers:
All customers referred to Saving Tour by travel partners, accommodation providers, or individuals are subject to
the standard deposit and payment methods available at checkout or via official payment links. A referral does not exempt
the customer from applicable payment, cancellation, and refund policies. -
Visa Referral Letter Bookings:
Customers requesting a Visa Referral Letter must pay 100% of the total booking amount in advance before their booking
is confirmed and the official letter is issued. -
Payment Confirmation:
Customers are responsible for ensuring that any requested online payments are completed successfully. An attempted,
pending, or failed payment does not constitute a confirmed advance booking. Customers should retain their digital
payment receipts and confirmation messages.
3. Cancellation and Refund Policy
-
Cancellation at Least 24 Hours Before the Tour:
Customers who cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled tour start time are eligible for a full refund of any
advance deposit (20%) or full payment made, subject to clearly disclosed third-party supplier restrictions. -
Cancellation Less Than 24 Hours Before the Tour:
Cancellations received less than 24 hours before the scheduled tour start time, as well as no-shows or failure to arrive at the designated meeting point on time, are strictly non-refundable and paid deposits will be forfeited. -
How to Cancel:
Customers must submit cancellation requests in writing through our official contact channels (Email or WhatsApp)
and include their booking reference number. The cancellation timestamp is determined by when Saving Tour receives
the written request. -
No-Show Policy:
If a customer fails to appear at the agreed meeting point or is not available at the scheduled pick-up time without
prior written arrangement, the booking will be treated as a no-show and will be strictly non-refundable. -
Rescheduling:
Customers may request a change of tour date or time, subject to availability and supplier conditions. All date changes
must be approved by Saving Tour in writing. Requests made less than 24 hours before the tour start time may not be accommodated. -
Refund Processing:
Approved refunds for online payments (including DPO deposit payments) will be initiated within 7–14 business days after eligibility has been confirmed
and will be returned through the original payment method where applicable. Processing times depend on the issuing bank or card provider.
4. Visa Refusal and Referral Letter Bookings
-
Customers booking a tour specifically to obtain a Visa Referral Letter must pay 100% of the total booking amount before
the reservation is confirmed and the document is issued. -
If a visa application is refused by immigration authorities, the customer may request a refund evaluation by providing
official written proof of refusal. Refund eligibility will be assessed based on non-recoverable supplier costs and administrative expenses.
A visa refusal does not automatically guarantee a full refund. - If a visa is approved and the customer subsequently decides not to travel, the standard cancellation policy outlined in Section 3 will apply.
5. Weather, Safety and Force Majeure
Saving Tour reserves the right to modify, postpone, reschedule, or cancel a tour when circumstances beyond our reasonable control
make the tour unsafe or impossible to operate.
Such circumstances include, but are not limited to, severe marine weather, cyclones, extreme sea conditions, government restrictions,
natural disasters, road closures, or safety warnings issued by local authorities.
In such circumstances, Saving Tour will first offer a suitable alternative date or alternative activity. If an alternative cannot
be provided or accepted, refund arrangements will be made in accordance with non-recoverable expenses and applicable laws.
6. Changes to Itinerary
Saving Tour reserves the right to make reasonable adjustments to tour itineraries when necessary due to weather, marine tides,
safety, or operational requirements. We will endeavor to provide a comparable alternative experience wherever possible.
7. Liability and Travel Insurance
Saving Tour takes all reasonable precautions to ensure safe and professional tour operations. However, participation in excursions,
boat trips, and active tours involves inherent risks.
We strongly recommend that all guests obtain comprehensive international travel insurance covering medical emergencies, accidents,
trip cancellations, delays, personal belongings, and activity-related risks.
8. Participant Responsibilities & Conduct
Participants must follow all safety instructions provided by guides, tour leaders, drivers, and boat captains at all times.
Guests are responsible for their personal belongings and valuables during the tour.
Saving Tour reserves the right to refuse service or discontinue participation for any individual exhibiting disruptive, abusive,
or unsafe behavior toward staff, local communities, or other guests. In such cases, no refund will be issued.
9. Personal Information and Privacy
Personal information provided during booking will be used strictly for operational management, customer communication, payment
processing, and delivering the requested travel services. Your information is managed in accordance with applicable data privacy standards.
10. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania.
Any legal proceedings or disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Tanzania.
